The Melbourne Cup Carnival may have the race that stops the nation, but it was really the iconic fashion moments turning heads at Flemington. Our Day Management talent attended all major race days and brought to life some amazingly styled Spring Racing collaborations.
We were thrilled to announce both Kristy Who and Sam Wines (Man of Style) were handpicked as the ambassadors for Pace Development Group’s first year in the Birdcage at the Melbourne Cup. With a marquee that was transformed into the luxurious Pace Penthouse, it was a coveted destination from Derby to Stakes and a hotspot for celebrities and influencers alike. As faces of the Pace marquee, Sam’s involvement was announced in the Herald Sun and both talent were interviewed by A Current Affair to debut Pace’s Birdcage marquee.
Other branded collaborations across the Spring Racing Carnival included Forever New, with both Kristy Who and Jess Alizzi choosing the iconic Australian brand for black and white Derby Day. Kristy chose a boss, black tailored suit and Jess wowed in an elegant white dress and oversized black hat.
Sam Wines upped the men’s style stakes for the race days, partnering with Country Road Man to showcase different ways to style the latest season trends. From pattern clashing to linen suits and pocket squares, our resident Man of Style inspired his audience of 105,000+ to prove it’s not just about the ladies at Flemington.
The action wasn’t over after the final horse race, our talent were also selected for a number of Best Dressed lists. Kristy Who graced VOGUE’s Best Dressed List for Derby Day and Melbourne Cup, and Tully Smyth clearly blew everyone away on Melbourne Cup, featuring alongside the Best Dressed for VOGUE, ELLE, Marie Claire, Bazaar, PopSugar and Instyle.
